Anyone seeking to become a HVAC contractor in Mississippi is required to sit for two exams, business and law and the trade. Applicants are required to submit a CPA reviewed financial statement. Mississippi HVAC Contractors Fees


contractors license feesAll applicants must pass a business and law exam and a trade exam for the classification(s) they want to be certified in. The exam fee is $120 for 1 portion or $240 for two portions of testing. It will cost $200 for a contractors license in one classification. Additional classifications cost $50 each. Each contractors license is good for one year only.

A 70% is required to pass the exam. The HVAC contractors exam on the other hand has 80 questions and an 4-hour time limit.
